I made this big temperature chart to go along with the "Year in the Life" of my CP's..
This shows the actual daily high and low temperatures (not averages) for every day of the year from
February 2008 through February 2009, in Rochester, NY.

Mid February - plants come out of dormancy.
Mid Feb through  earlyApril - plants have to grow indoors, because its still too cold outside.
April through November - plants grow outdoors, and go dormany naturally.
November through Mid February - plants are dormant in the stairwell, staying at a constant 35F +2C temperaure,
which is MUCH warmer than outdoors in the winter.
this is essentially the "fridge method"..much more detail can be found on my "year in the life" pages.
thanks,
Scot
